This film sensitively sheds light on the history of the Green Book, what African Americans went through in their times and how matters of race were dealt with.
The story is a delicate balance between the stiff and poised maestro pianist played brilliantly by Mahershala Ali and the uber free and casual Viggo Mortensen.
They build an organic rapport with each other and you can see the issues they both go through via the others’ perspective.
A nuanced watch.
