Solos (2021) Miniseries review

Packed with powerful performances by the whole cast, the episodes usually focus on the story of a single character, where you get to see diverse acting and a range of emotions.
Some stories hook you from the start, others take a while to warm up. My favourites were the ones featuring Anne Hathaway, Helen Mirren and Morgan Freeman.
Watch it for the dystopia that might await us. Watch it to cherish the present and make all the good memories you can. Watch it to reflect and face whatever feeling or emotion you may have been avoiding.
Trying (2020) TV Series

Adorable, witty, funny, deep, emotional and unpredictable is the best way to describe the journey of Nikki and Jason who are trying to have a baby.
The endearing way they support and care for each other, navigating the maze of fertility, adoption and everything in between is a great example of how relationships should be.
Nuanced performances by Esther Smith and Rafe Spall make it a delight to watch, complemented by a super supporting cast and soothing theme song.
The Codes of the Exiled Rogue has been declared an Award Winning Finalist in the Fiction:Visionary Category of the 2021 International Book Awards!

Super happy for the success of my debut book!
Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard (2021)

Filled with profanity, slick editing, great action and amazing stunts, this film is full of laughs and a fun background score.
You have all the ingredients: con woman, hit man, bodyguard, villain, evil plan, the cops and some surprises along the way.
What you don’t have is any expectation on what will happen next, which results in a crazy ride!
Watch Ryan Reynolds, Salma Hayek, Samuel L. Jackson, Antonio Banderas and Morgan Freeman in very different avatars!
3.5/5

Mare of Easttown (2021)

A riveting crime drama, with Kate Winslet at the helm, who fights her inner demons and grief as she drowns herself in solving the crimes of her small town.
A lot of things are at stake here; families, faith, sanity and the law. As the story progresses, the secrets begin to unravel. There are twists, turns and suspects aplenty and nothing will prepare you for what comes next.
Today was the concluding episode, where reparations and justice continued till the last frame. Back stories and motives are revealed and the audience is able to move on, just like the characters, who have been through their own hell.
A brilliant mini series with a lot of pain, sadness, generational trauma and healing. One of the best things on tv this year.
